The path to Tranquility (spring)

33. Looking at everything equally

If we can look at the world with an equal eye, and no longer divide things into high and low, good and evil, beautiful and ugly, will life present a different look? Looking at everything equally is not only a lofty value, but also a rational attitude and practice in life.

True equality is to recognize that the existence of all things is worthy of respect. A dead tree, a blooming flower, has its meaning; every objection, every agreement, is the echo of thought. In the workplace, a person's value should not be measured by power and status; in the family, the weight of words should not be divided by identity and age. Equality is a kind of deep listening, treating every voice with tenderness.

Habits and prejudices often limit our vision unconsciously. To break the limitations, we need to constantly reflect on ourselves and observe the flow of our hearts like observing a river. Education should not be about filling, but about improvement and companionship; if teachers can teach students in accordance with their aptitude and respect the pace of students, then learning is no longer a competition, but the unfolding of inner growth.

Non-judgment is an equal perspective. Letting go of judgment does not mean forgetting right and wrong, but accepting the complexity of the world. In an argument, do not rush to distinguish right from wrong, but explore the desires behind each position. In this way, every communication is no longer a competition, but more like a handshake or a hug.

This attitude is also very important in the creative field. If creators label their work as "good" or "bad" too early, it may stifle inspiration; if they explore the creative process with curiosity, the work will often show the depth of the soul. A non-judgmental attitude allows us to focus on understanding rather than conflict or avoidance, laying the foundation for consensus and innovation.

This equal perspective also allows us to re-understand the creations of nature. The flash of a drop of water can be as bright as a star; a thunder can also be the whisper of the universe. When we find inspiration from nature, such as the design of airplanes that imitate bird wings, we know that creativity comes from humble observation. This understanding makes our wisdom advance by leaps and bounds.

In the parent-child relationship, equality reflects the essence of love. Children's crying is not a sign of ignorance or weakness, but a signal from their hearts. If parents can accompany their children patiently and let their emotions flow freely instead of rushing to stop them, it will be easier for children to learn to understand themselves and learn how to love others. In this way, parents will also have more opportunities to gain inner peace and growth.

Everything is a gift from nature. Whether it is sunny or rainy, meeting or parting, it is worth cherishing. We don’t need to monopolize these gifts, we just need to open and explore them to discover the revelations in them. A turning point, even a panic, can be a reminder of life - if we consciously adapt to the environment, we will encounter unexpected beauty.

Looking at everything equally is a manifestation of obedience and respect for possibility, and reflects inner stability. It allows us to no longer be entangled in definitions, labels, comparisons, and contradictions, but to face and explore everything with deep concentration. In this tranquility, we are connected to the world and reunited with the most complete, true, and active consciousness.
